Deepest appreciation for a significant and heartening change that has been incorporated into this year’s festivities – Inclusive Pongal Celebration Immense Joy! for the first time, the names of the girls and women have been included in the invitation of the upcoming Pongal Celebration of Arungundram village, Chengalpattu district. In many cultures, festivals like Pongal hold a special place in our hearts as they bring together the entire community, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness. By acknowledging the role of girls and women in our celebrations, we are not only recognizing their invaluable contributions but also breaking down barriers that may have existed in the past. This inclusive approach not only reflects the diversity of our village but also sets a positive example for future generations. Our young girls will grow up knowing that they are an integral part of our traditions and celebrations, instilling in them a sense of pride and belonging. Fostering an inclusive and harmonious community is truly commendable. Let us cherish the bonds that bind together and continue to build a village that thrives on inclusivity and mutual respect. Let this year’s Pongal celebration in Arungundram Village be a symbol of unity, equality, and shared joy for all families, irrespective of gender.Wishing you all a joyous Pongal Celebration!அனைவருக்கும் தமிழர் திருநாள் வாழ்த்துகள்!!
